 My name is Lora McClain-Muhammad, author of I Need You To Know, The ABC’s of Black Girl Magic and I Need You To Know, The ABC’s of a Young King’s Greatness, children's coloring books for black and brown children everywhere. I am excited to share them with you! What started as a labor of love with my first coloring book (the girls,) INYTK has grown into a flourishing family business. After nearly selling out my first coloring book on Amazon, and receiving countless request demanding a book for “our Young Kings” I was thrilled to announce the release of I Need You To Know, The ABC’s of a Young King’s Greatness!

Inspired by the joy of my life, my first grandchild, Miss Eden Estelle Ellis, I was looking for a kids activity book that represented her in major retailers and could find none, so I created one. The “I Need You To Know…” series depicts  coloring pages for kids beautifully from their skin complexion to their hair type. They are educational and have encouraging words from A-Z. These kids activities books have proven to speak to diversity and colorism, when shared with children of all backgrounds! 

Therapeutic?!?! Yesssss!! I have therapist, gynecologist & pediatricians who have purchased & love the coloring books and give/share them with their patients. Not only are they for our children, women of all ages from the young, to the young at heart love the coloring books as well! Relieve the stresses of the day, grab your favorite drink and just color!

I am on a mission for our children and our culture, if we are the first ones responsible for the content consumed, let’s give them something that educates, inspires, and uplifts. As parents and caregivers, we know we have a responsibility to speak life and positivity! In this, I have found my true passion and am committed to serving the community and especially young girls and women‘s issues. This has become so much more than a coloring book, but a movement. Won’t you join me!!!
